* * Recovery Driver
* to handle the safe retrieval and transport of disabled or damaged vehicles.

* Full specialist recovery training will be provided
* for the right candidate.
Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with either 10am-10pm and 12pm-12am shifts.
* Key Responsibilities
*
* * Vehicle Recovery:
* Safely and efficiently loading, securing, and transporting disabled or damaged vehicles using Class 2 flatbed recovery trucks.
* * Technical Assessment:
* Inspecting vehicles on-site for mechanical issues and, where possible, performing basic roadside assistance.
* * Professional Communication:
* Acting as a calm and professional point of contact for clients at the roadside and coordinating effectively with our dispatch team.
* * Safety & Compliance:
* Adhering to all road safety regulations, securing loads to industry standards, and maintaining accurate tacho-graph records.
* Requirements
*
* * Licensing:
* You must possess a valid driving license suitable for 7.5T and Class 2 vehicles.
* * Compliance:
* A valid
* Driver CPC
* and
* Digital Tachograph Card
* are essential.
* * Mechanical Aptitude:
* A basic understanding of vehicle mechanics is a significant advantage.
*
* Skills:
* Excellent communication skills and a "customer-first" mindset, especially when dealing with motorists in stressful situations.
* * Physical Fitness:
* The role involves manual handling, including the operation of winches and securing heavy loads in all weather conditions.
* Experience
*
* * Recovery:
* Previous experience in vehicle recovery is preferred but
* not essential
* as full training is provided.
* * Driving:
* Proven experience operating vans or commercial vehicles safely.
* * Local Knowledge:
* A good understanding of the local road network is beneficial for efficient response times.
