HGV Class 1 Driver – Paisley – Night shift

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Paisley.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Night shift starting at 6:00pm

Pay Rate:

• £17.50 per hour
• Overnight allowance

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately and on time

Essential Skills:

The skills required as an HGV Class 1 Driver are:

• Valid Category CE driving licence
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Good spoken and written English
• A professional and reliable approach to work
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial driving experience

Training:

• Driver assessment required prior to start
• Full industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support throughout your assignment
