Our client, a fast-moving family-run transport company, is looking for a talented Traffic Planner to join their dynamic team. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for organising and planning daily transport routes, ensuring compliance with Driver hours regulations, and meeting service requirements.
Our client is looking for motivated individuals who thrive in a vibrant environment and possess strong communication abilities. Experience in the transport sector is preferable but not essential, as they are willing to provide training to the right candidate. Strong IT skills will be necessary to navigate their current transport systems effectively.
Ideal Candidate:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A background in transport is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen organisational mindset.
Proficient IT skills for handling transport management systems.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and organise daily transport routes efficiently.
Ensure compliance with driver hours regulations and service standards.
Monitor and adjust routes as needed to optimise performance.
Liaise with Drivers to ensure effective communication and resolve any issues.
Maintain accurate records within the transport management system.
