HGV Class 2 Driver – Wetherby, West Yorkshire – £15.90 Per Hour People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Wetherby, West Yorkshire . This is a fantastic opportunity offering £15.90 per hour, consistent Monday to Friday working, early morning starts, weekly pay and ongoing work, with no handball required and immediate starts available.

£15.90 Per Hour | Monday to Friday | 6am Starts | No Handball | Weekly Pay | Immediate Starts | Ongoing Work This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid Lorry Driver or HGV Delivery Driver. Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• 6:00am start times
• Ongoing work available Rates of Pay • £15.90 per hour – basic rate

• Opportunities for growth and progression Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:
• Completing RDC and brewery deliveries using curtain-sided vehicles
• Safely operating Category C vehicles
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety checks
• Ensuring all loads are correctly secured before departure
• Completing deliveries safely and within scheduled times
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
• Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
• Assisting with vehicle loading and unloading where required, without handballing
• Following road traffic legislation, drivers' hours regulations and company safety procedures Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 12 months' Category C driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor driving offences
• No major driving endorsement codes
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• Strong understanding of road transport regulations and vehicle safety
• Good communication skills and a professional approach to work

Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial HGV driving experience
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience
• Experience completing RDC or brewery deliveries
• Experience operating curtain-sided vehicles Training Provided
• Driver assessment required before starting
