Seafreight Import Operator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sea freight Import Operator to join a well-established freight forwarding and supply chain company based in West Yorkshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid background in Ocean Freight Imports who enjoys managing shipments from start to finish, building customer relationships and working within a busy operational environment.

• Manage Sea freight Import shipments from origin through to final delivery.

• Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customers.

• Arrange collections, deliveries and onward transportation.

• Prepare and process shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading.

• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure all necessary documentation is in place.

• Provide quotations and respond to customer enquiries.

• Monitor shipment progress and provide regular updates.

• Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

• Previous experience in Sea freight Import operations within a freight forwarding environment.

• Good understanding of import procedures, shipping documentation and customs requirements.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments.

• Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.

• Commercially aware, proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Competitive salary depending on experience.

• Full-time, permanent position.

• Monday to Friday working hours – no weekends.
