An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join an established, forward thinking fabric s supplier. The organisation prides itself on having strong community and social values.

You must have a Reach Truck licence

Main Duties

• PICKING, PACKING AND DISPATCH OF ORDERS

GOODS TO BE PACKAGED / REWORKED TO MINIMISE SPACE USED AND RE UTILISE PACKAGING MATERIALS WHERE POSSIBLE

• GOODS RECEIPT

GOODS TO BE CHECKED OFF AGAINST DELIVERY NOTE AND VERIFIED. DELIVERY NOTE TO BE HANDED IN TO WAREHOUSE OFFICE ORDERS RELEASED ACCORDINGLY.

• REACH TRUCK OPERATION AND UPKEEP

SENSIBLE USE OF TRUCK REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND CHECKS TO BE CARRIED OUT TO ENSURE ECONOMICAL RUNNING.

• WAREHOUSE UPKEEP AND MAINTENANCE

SPACE CONSOLIDATION TO ENSURE MAXIMUM COST BENEFIT PER SQUARE FOOT OF WAREHOUSE SPACE. GENERAL CLEANLINESS, REUSE OF MATERIALS AND PALLETS ETC.

• INTER-WAREHOUSE TRANSFERS

MAXIMISE VEHICLE LOADS AND ENSURE FULL STOCK LEVELS AT BOTH LOCATIONS WHERE NECESSARY

• LOCAL DELIVERIES WHERE NECESSARY

WITHIN LOCAL AREA FOR SMALL CONSIGNMENTS TO MINIMISE CARBON FOOTPRINT
