We are currently recruiting for a Stores / Warehouse Operative to join a busy and growing team. This is a varied role that combines warehouse duties, stock control, goods‑in operations and forklift work.
The successful candidate will be working both independently and as part of a team, helping to ensure the efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse while maintaining high standards of accuracy, organisation, and safety.
This role is ideal for an upbeat, self‑motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in delivering high‑quality work.
Key Responsibilities- Receiving and processing incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Picking and packing customer and contract orders accurately
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Carrying out stock control duties and stock takes
- Maintaining accurate records using company software (training provided)
- Performing quality checks on outgoing goods
- Organising and maintaining warehouse storage areas
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Supporting colleagues and assisting other departments when required
- Working to company productivity and performance targets What We're Looking For Essential:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Own transport
- Good numeracy and communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Good level of physical fitness and mobility
- Reliable and dependable approach to work
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Previous warehouse or stores experience
- Experience using stock control or warehouse management systems
- Good computer skills
- Previous experience carrying out stock takes
This role involves regular manual handling duties, including:
- Lifting and carrying products
- Bending, stretching and reaching
- Loading and unloading stock
- Standing and walking for extended periods
Applicants should be comfortable working in a physically active warehouse environment while following health and safety procedures.
