Warehouse / Yard Operative (Part-Time) – Hertford – 12–15 Hours per Week – Temporary Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse / Yard Operative to join a growing business in Hertford on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a varied role that combines warehouse duties with general yard maintenance, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors.

As a Warehouse / Yard Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining the warehouse and yard areas, assisting with stock movements, and ensuring the site remains clean, safe, and well organised. This role involves regular manual handling and would suit someone who is physically fit, self‑motivated, and happy working independently for much of the day.

• Picking and packing customer orders
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Moving stock using a pump truck
• Manual handling and lifting of heavy products
• Organising and maintaining warehouse stock
• Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, tidy, and safe
• General housekeeping duties
• Light gardening, including weeding and keeping external areas presentable
• Assisting with waste disposal and recycling
• Carrying out general yard maintenance and supporting the wider team as required

• Previous warehouse, yard, labouring or stores experience is desirable
• Comfortable with regular heavy lifting and manual handling
• Experience using a pump truck
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Reliable, hardworking, and self‑motivated
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• Positive attitude and willingness to undertake a variety of duties
