Warehouse Operative

As a Warehouse Operative based in Barnacle, you will join Pertemps Coventry Commercial on a full‑time, permanent contract. This role offers a competitive hourly rate between £12.71 and £12.88. Your primary duties include receiving deliveries, inspecting products for damage, accurately putting stock away, picking, packing, and preparing customer orders, replenishing stock across warehouse and production zones, and performing regular stock checks.

Hours:

Full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday

• Receiving deliveries and checking goods against purchase orders.
• Inspecting products for damage or shortages.
• Putting stock away in the correct warehouse locations.
• Updating stock movements using the warehouse management system.
• Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders accurately.
• Replenishing stock to warehouse and production areas.
• Carrying out regular stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Processing customer returns.
• Applying product labels where required.
• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to unload deliveries and move stock safely.
• Completing daily forklift safety checks.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
• Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.

• Previous warehouse experience is essential.
• Counterbalance Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential).
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to use warehouse systems.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to support other areas of the business when required.
