Job Details
Part Time – 11 hours per week, Mon and Tues 5:00‑10:30.
Job PurposeThe warehouse operative is responsible for carrying out any role required within the warehouse environment, assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customer orders. They must process orders efficiently and work effectively as part of a team. All staff are expected to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medical products for Human use (2013/C 343/01) as reflected in SOP – 1 NWOS GDP 1.1 and receive annual refreshers.
Key Responsibilities- Pick and pack orders.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area free of rubbish.
- Adhere to high Health and Safety standards.
- Achieve targets and job standards set by Team Leaders/Managers.
- Communicate with Team Leaders/Managers and adapt to reasonable requests.
- Accurately assemble items from pick documentation and ensure quantities are correct.
- Support timely and accurate order preparation and material movement.
- Manage multiple routine tasks across warehouse workflows while maintaining accuracy.
- Work with temperature‑sensitive materials in line with defined handling requirements.
Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
Experience: Less than 2 years in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field.
Certifications: Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge: Warehouse operations, receiving, storage, picking, packing, staging, shipping, inventory control principles, stock movement tracking, material traceability, temperature‑controlled handling, cold chain support, packaging materials, reusable shipping assets, replenishment practices, shipment documentation, operational recordkeeping, safe material handling practices, and use of warehouse equipment and tools.
Abilities: Follow established procedures, maintain accurate records, identify exceptions for further action, support order preparation and material movement, manage routine tasks, work with temperature‑sensitive materials, and maintain accuracy across multiple workflows.
