Position: Stores & Kitting Operative
Location: Partridge Green

We have an exciting opportunity for a Stores & Kitting Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Partridge Green on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for picking and packing small components, preparing accurate component kits and getting orders ready for dispatch to customers and other companies. This role would suit someone who has previously worked within a stores, warehouse, kitting or picking and packing environment and has excellent attention to detail.

While there will be some general warehouse duties involved, the main focus of the role will be accurately picking components, preparing kits and ensuring orders are packed correctly and ready to be shipped.

Key Responsibilities as a Stores & Kitting Operative:

* Pick small components accurately against picking lists and customer orders

* Prepare and assemble component kits ready for production or dispatch

* Pack components carefully and ensure orders are complete before shipment

* Label and prepare packages ready for dispatch to customers and other companies

* Check part numbers, quantities and components to ensure accuracy

* Maintain accurate stock records and update stock systems where required

* Carry out stock checks and assist with inventory control

* Receive, store and organise incoming stock when required

* Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised stores area

* Assist with other general warehouse duties when required

Requirements for the Stores & Kitting Operative:

* Previous experience within stores, kitting, picking and packing, warehouse or stock control

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

* Confident working with small components and part numbers

* Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently

* Ability to follow picking lists and ensure orders are prepared correctly

* Basic computer skills for updating stock and inventory systems

* Reliable, methodical and comfortable carrying out repetitive, detail-focused tasks

* Flexible approach and happy to support with general warehouse duties when required

* Drive with your own vehicle

Benefits, Salary and Hours for the Stores & Kitting Operative:

* Full-time, permanent position based in Partridge Green

* Salary between £26,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

* Annual bonus incentive

* Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with an early finish at 4:30pm on Fridays

* 23 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays and a Christmas shutdown
