American Traveler is hiring an RN Oncology for an outpatient Cancer and Infusion Center position requiring ONS certification and 2-3 years of oncology experience.
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BLS certification required
- ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required
- ONCC-CHIM certification required
- 2-3 years of recent oncology nursing experience required
- EPIC experience required
- BSN preferred
- Hospital or physician's office experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Outpatient clinic setting within a Cancer and Infusion Center
- Day shift, 4x10s, rotating days with no set weekly schedule
- Shift hours approximately 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- No on‑call requirements
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Deliver coordinated outpatient nursing care according to established standards and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Coordinate care across disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care plans
- Implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, humane care
- Provide education and health information to patients, families, and treatment teams
- Prepare patients, rooms, and equipment for minor surgical procedures and assist physicians as needed
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction and local rates matching travel rates
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
- Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
