Job Description For Technician

Purpose  The candidate will be primarily responsible for operation and cleaning of granulation machines.

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables

Granulation Operations

Sets, Operates and monitors Granulation machines and associated machines like sifter, multi-mill , cone mill and stirrer.
Ensure calibration of balances, correct machine settings, batch start up and challenge and in process checks
Performs minor troubleshooting of Granulation machines.

Quality Compliance

Perform in process checks like sieve integrity, LOD etc as per BMR.
Monitor rejections and ensure minimal rejection and losses during batch run.
Carry out cleaning activities and line clearance as per SOP before and after batch.
Maintains hygiene and discipline in manufacturing area.

Documentation And Compliance

Maintain accurate and timely records for BMR and log books including equipment usage logs
Report deviations, machine malfunctions or breakdowns to supervisors promptly
Fills BMR and logbooks online during start up and while in operation for in process. Assists in reconciliation and rejections of in process.

Teamwork And Coordination

Coordinates activities of contractual staff for smooth functioning of granulation line
Train junior operators, contractual as and when required.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Pre-Requisites

ITI, Diploma in Pharmacy, Diploma in Engg,

B.sc.
Total experience of 4 - 7 years in Operation of Granulation Machine.
Must be able to work in shifts as needed.

Skills Required

Knowledge of granulation line.
Good communication skills to communicate with co-workers & supervisors
High level of personal and workplace hygiene and compliance.

Additional notes

Role is expected to work in all shifts.
