We are currently seeking a Principal Engineer – Electrical Engineering (Control & Instrumentation) to join our team. While the primary location associated with this opportunity is Canal Foot, Ulverston, options for this role may connect with a wider network of company sites depending on business needs and alignment. Your responsibilities will typically include:
* Providing expert technical leadership and guidance across electrical engineering and C&I projects.
* Designing, developing, and validating control systems and instrumentation architectures in accordance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
* Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are met on time and within scope.
* Reviewing technical documentation, specifications, and design outputs to guarantee quality and engineering integrity.
* Mentoring junior engineers and supporting technical capability growth within the wider team.
To be successful in this position, you should possess a strong background in electrical engineering with specialized experience in control and instrumentation within a comparable engineering or manufacturing environment. A relevant engineering degree or equivalent professional qualification is expected, along with a demonstrated ability to lead technical activities and solve complex engineering challenges.
