About

The Role

We are looking to add an experienced Electrical Installation & Maintenance Trainer to our Ulverston centre. You will deliver, assess, and support learners in Electrical courses up to level 3.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and assess Electrical Engineering courses up to and including level three.
  • Develop and maintain current Electrical Installation and Engineering course material, lesson plans, and schemes of work.
  • Assist in assessing, changing curricular needs, and offers plans for improvement.
  • Maintain effective and efficient record‑keeping procedures (e.g., ILP).
  • Review course content and delivery methods regularly.
  • Ensure learner performance goals are met.
  • Document learning evidence accurately.
  • Provide one‑to‑one/group feedback and support to learners.
  • Assist in overall development of the training centre.
  • Assist in delivery of course material outside the subject of Electrical Installation & engineering.
  • Prepare and assist in internal and external audits.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Lead Trainer.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students.
About You

A successful candidate will have proven experience in Electrical Installation and Maintenance. You will also:

  • Be competent in domestic or industrial installation & maintenance; ideally hold your 18th Edition.
  • Hold a level three qualification in Electrical Installation and NVQ or AM2.
  • Have sound knowledge of Electrical Installation & Electrical engineering principles.
  • Possess good numeracy, literacy, and computer skills.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with learners, employers, and other professionals.
  • Hold a Full driving Licence – may be required to deliver training from our Workington and Carlisle centres.
