The Role
Deliver, assess and support learners engaged in Electrical courses up to level 3, in accordance with awarding body guidelines.
Responsibilities- Deliver and assess Electrical Engineering courses up to level 3.
- Develop and maintain current Electrical Installation and Engineering course material including lesson plans and schemes of work.
- Assist in assessing curricular needs and offering improvement plans.
- Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures (ILP etc).
- Review course content and delivery methods on a regular basis.
- Assume responsibility for meeting course and learner performance goals.
- Ensure all evidence of learning is accurately documented for each learner.
- Provide feedback and support to learners on one-to-one and group basis.
- Assist in overall development of the training centre.
- Assist in delivery of course material outside of Electrical Installation & Engineering.
- Prepare and assist in internal and external audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Trainer.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students.
- Proven experience in Electrical Installation and Maintenance.
- Competent in domestic or industrial installation & maintenance; ideally hold 18th Edition.
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation and NVQ or AM2.
- Sound knowledge of Electrical Installation & Electrical engineering principles.
- Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills.
- Effective communication skills in oral and written form.
- Full driving licence (required for occasional training delivery from Workington and Carlisle centres).
