USD 214 Ulysses is seeking an English Language Arts teacher for Kepley Middle School for 8th Grade. Candidates must be elementary Certified (K-9) or 6-12 ELA Certified in Kansas or eligible for certification in Kansas (other Kansas Teaching Certificates will be considered for the position). Under the principal’s or designee’s direction and supervision, the candidate will plan instruction, teach, differentiate instruction, motivate, inspire, and assess students in English language arts.
The candidate will promote a high-quality, personalized education program that reflects the Kansas State Content Standards for elementary classes. Ulysses USD 214 is looking for candidates with excellent oral and communication skills. A dynamic character, personality, flexible team player, and proper social capability to relate effectively with diverse staff, students, parents, and the Ulysses community within a rigorous K‑12 academic environment.

USD 214 Ulysses is located in Grant County, Kansas. Ulysses, KS, is centrally located between Kansas City, Denver, Wichita, Colorado Springs, Amarillo, and Pueblo. The district has two elementary schools (a pre‑K‑2 primary school and a 3‑5 elementary school), one middle school, and one high school. There are approximately 1,550 students in grades pre‑K through 12th and a teaching staff of approximately 100 teachers.
USD 214 Ulysses is the largest 4‑A school district in Southwest Kansas.
Essential qualifications:
