The Water Truck Driver I plays a crucial role in supporting operations within the oil and gas extraction and mining industries by transporting water to various job sites. This position ensures that all water delivery is conducted safely and efficiently, contributing to the overall productivity of the team. The driver will be responsible for maintaining the water truck and ensuring it is in optimal working condition at all times.
Additionally, the role involves adhering to all safety regulations and protocols to minimize risks associated with transportation. Ultimately, the Water Truck Driver I is essential for providing the necessary resources that facilitate ongoing operations and environmental management.
- Haul water for construction projects and oil rigs, transporting potable water to crews working in remote sites from respective locations
- Unload into tank batteries
- Pull liquids from containments and water tanks, unload into disposal
- Operate a truck or tanker carrying liquids as directed to various sites
- Ensure truck is in working order
- Perform routine safety inspections
- Possess a valid driver’s license, CDL with tanker endorsement required
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug and background check
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state-certified program
- Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred
- Must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and participate in an on-call rotation
- Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities preferred
- Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs
- Capable of rigorous outdoor activities with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment
- Must be self-driven and motivated; should not require daily guidance for managing workload
- Able to work with a diverse team
- Has integrity, good communication skills, and a positive attitude
- Highly qualified and safety-oriented
- Strong mechanical skills necessary
- Has basic computer skills
