Overview
Job Summary:
Tire Factory Distribution is currently looking for a Warehouse Lead/Backup Driver for our Umatilla, Oregon Distribution Center. This position helps support the DC manager with daily tasks and processes. Leads the processing of shipments outgoing and the receipt of incoming products. Ensuring it is completed following best practices and policies in an efficient and timely manner. Fills in for Drivers as needed and will cover for the DC manager when required.
In the position you will report to the DC Manager.
Responsibilities
Leads the warehouse team so that schedules and deadlines are met.Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.Provides leadership by demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety-conscious behaviors.Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.Assists in the training and development of warehouse employees.Use of forklifts, scan guns, computers, and proper handling procedures to safely store or pull inventory in an organized and efficient manner.Ensures quality, accuracy, and speed of the unloading and storing of all incoming loads, and the pulling and loading of all outgoing shipments.Aids in the routing/level loading for runs to ensure weight and time requirements are observed.Ensures proper trucks are loaded for each routeResponsible for all processes, equipment, safety, and housekeeping of the warehouse and meeting quality and quantity standards on the shift.Troubleshoots problems and notifies Manager for assistance as required.Represents and promotes a positive image of the Company at all times both on and off the job.Stand in for the Manager during vacations and sickness as required.Fill in for delivery drivers as required.Other tasks and duties as assigned.Qualifications
High School Diploma3+ years in a warehouse lead positionExperience with RF ScanningExperience with Powered Industrial EquipmentLift up to 70lbs repeatedly on a regular basis.Excellent communication and organizational skillsCompany Information
