Joining H&R Block as a Tax Associate means you will receive expert training and the flexibility to balance work with your life. Your responsibilities include:

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and via virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email)
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration
• Grow your tax expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• Previous experience in customer service or retail
• Experience in a fast‑paced, supportive environment
• Ability to work a minimum of 25–35 hours weekly during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
• Comfort using virtual tools (video, phone, chat)
• Effective communication skills in person, by phone, and in writing
• Must meet all IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent (higher is preferred)

The pay range for this position is $11.00 – $27.00 per hour, subject to local minimum wage laws. Individual pay decisions will depend on job‑related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Successful candidates may also participate in incentive compensation plans that could generate additional earnings.
