Senior Plumbing Designer

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Plumbing Designer leads a team of designers on large projects. Responsibilities include monitoring long-term project deadlines, ensuring deliverables are met, and performing quality control work on designs created by less experienced designers.

What you’ll do:

• Lead a team of designers on large projects
• Monitor project deadlines and ensure timely delivery
• Perform quality control on work done by less experienced designers
• Represent Southland Plumbing Design in meetings with owners, general contractors, and AHJs
• Manage project budgets, create projections, and handle change orders
• Manage multiple designers to meet project objectives
• Complete calculations, drawings, and specifications for fire suppression and detection systems
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of plumbing projects, including layout, permits, surveys, coordination, fabrication lists, RFIs, and as-builts
• Work under general supervision, exercising discretion and independent judgment
• Supervise engineers and technicians on a project basis

What you bring to the table:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Associate’s Degree preferred

Pay: Final pay ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 plus incentives and benefits, depending on experience and qualifications.
