Position Summary:

Are you looking for an opportunity to jump start your career path in project management? If so, Southland Industries’ Project Engineer position is for you. In this role, you will work on exciting, multi-million dollar commercial MEP projects as you develop your skills in estimating, scheduling and project management within the design-build construction process.

• Generally supports the project team as needed.
• Estimates the impact of project changes
• Manages change orders
• Assembles complete submittal packages and other required project documentation information
• Procures equipment and materials and services; and selection and hiring of subcontractors
• Analyzes and resolves basic questions and problems as needed

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
• 1-3 years experience in related field
• Basic ERP skills to include inquiring, reviewing and printing job cost reports
• Basic knowledge of HVAC or plumbing design
• Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings and work installed to track labor feedback accurately
• Basic verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills, including CAD and Microsoft Office products, such as Excel

Pay:
Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For Colorado, New York City, California, Washington, Maryland this ranges from $80,000.00-$90,000.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.

Roles that include driving as an essential job duty will be required to have a successful Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR). We are not able to offer sponsorship of employment at this time.
