The VDC Project Lead will implement, monitor, and maintain company VDC Standards on assigned projects with adjustments to meet the specified project goals. Ensure the model & information achieves the needs of the shop and field in a timely manner, plus serve as primary point of contact for the technical aspect of the VDC process throughout the project life cycle.

• Assigned and supports a project during design, construction and project close-out (dedicated to one large project or many smaller projects, based on workload).
• Responsible for project planning, scheduling, staffing, training, project setup and management. Procure content needed for a specific project.
• Manage file sharing with other disciplines for design and coordination processes. (Arch, GC, EE, EC, FP). Coordinate the set-up of shared file server with the VDC Team and IT staff, including access, security and archiving of milestone submittals.
• Interface with IT staff to ensure the VDC Team has the necessary hardware and VDC Software properly installed and accessible for project use; coordinate VDC project workflow and software training for efficient project delivery.
• Coordinate VDC development, standards, data requirements, etc. as required by company standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate design/coordination sequencing and scheduling activities to ensure they are integrated with the VDC modeling effort.
• Responsible for the development, coordination, publication, and verification that all necessary configurations have been implemented.
• Ensure construction documents derived from the VDC model adhere to company standards and project requirements.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related construction, engineering, or technical discipline or equivalent.
• Experience with HVAC, piping, plumbing and/or electrical VDC.
• Intermediate level knowledge of VDC processes and technologies, especially Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as NVDCS (National VDC Standard), NCS (National CAD Standard), AEC (Architectural, Electrical, and Construction—Mechanical Piping, Sheet metal, Plumbing).
• Project experience with Trimble (or other Total Station Unit).
• Working experience with Excel.
• Sheet metal, Mechanical Piping, or Plumbing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of: LISP, C#, , CMD (Batch).
• Knowledge of Autodesk products (or comparable products) is essential:
  Revit, AutoCAD, Fabrication ADmep, Navisworks, 360 Glue.
• Some knowledge of additional VDC related software is a plus:
  Autodesk 3ds Max Design, MEPCAD Auto Sprink.
• Computer Programming (Revit and AutoCAD API) experience a plus.
• Problem solving, troubleshooting and training capabilities.
