Mechanical Service Technician - HVAC

Overview

As a Mechanical Service Technician, you will perform all HVAC/R troubleshooting and repairs necessary to keep existing facilities and systems operating efficiently. This work includes inspection, service, maintenance, start-up, testing, balancing, adjusting, repair, modification and replacement of mechanical and refrigeration equipment and components, including related piping connections and controls. Additional service, maintenance and operations work may be assigned by the customer, as well as work on temporary systems.

Southland Industries is a signatory contractor of several local unions, and we are ideally looking for someone currently located in the Bay Area – Nor Cal area.

• Implement all HVAC/R troubleshooting and repairs necessary to keep facilities operating efficiently.
• Perform inspection, service, maintenance, start-up, testing, balancing, adjusting, repair, modification, and replacement of mechanical and refrigeration equipment and components.
• Complete any other service, maintenance, and operations work, including work on temporary systems.

• 5-7+ years of experience within servicing HVAC mechanical equipment.
• Bay Area (Nor Cal) location preferred.

• This position is eligible for selected UA Local 38, 62, 342, 393, 442, 447, or 467 wages, fringes and benefits. Bay Area wage range: $57.69/hr – $81.73/hr.
• Journeyman - HVAC Service Technician; compensation depends on experience, dispatch, certifications, hours worked (OT & DT), bonuses, and non-fridge hours paid for travel or training.
