WhatYou Will Do
In this role, you will help our customers complete their taxes using Intuit Turbo Tax products, applying professional judgment, providing full‑service return preparation, accurate tax calculations, and managing software inquiries. You will maintain customer confidentiality, utilize government resources, and communicate with clients via video software while documenting interactions.
- Maintain sensitive customer and proprietary business information responsibly.
- Use government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate answers in plain language.
- Interact with clients and team members professionally, upholding Intuit’s operating values, including “integrity without compromise.”
- Use state‑of‑the‑art video communication software responsibly and document all interactions.
- Strong business tax‑preparation experience (≥3 years preparing federal and state business tax returns, 1065 and/or 1120‑S, for at least 20 clients per season).
- Active unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax‑preparation experience (30 returns per year is strongly preferred).
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
- Bookkeeping experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing business tax returns for service‑industry customers is strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
- Active PTIN.
- Commitment to at least 20 hours per week in 4‑hour shift increments during the tax season.
- Working knowledge of Circular 230.
- Proficiency with technology and solid computer operations skills.
- Customer‑service skills: ability to interact via video and audio tools in a friendly, professional manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, research skills, and determination.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Internet connection that meets Intuit security criteria.
Base pay ranges vary by location and are competitive. For example, in the Bay and Southern California regions the range is $40.10–$46.20 per hour, while in Colorado it is $38.20–$43.90 per hour. The position may also qualify you for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits in accordance with Intuit’s plans and programs.
