Job Description
** START DATE FOR THIS POSITION IS 3/2/26.**
Per Board Policy GDBA: A maximum of ten years of related experience may be transferred from previous employment. The highest step a support staff employee may enter the district is at step 11 of the salary schedule.
CLASSIFICATION: Classified
Qualifications- Valid Missouri paraprofessional certificate and/or a minimum of 60 college credit hours and Missouri substitute teaching certificate required
- Bachelor’s degree and appropriate Missouri teaching certification preferred, not required
- Criminal justice fingerprint and background clearance
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board and/or Superintendent may find appropriate
To assist and support teachers and students.
Performance Responsibilities177 days. Salary to be established by the Board of Education.
EvaluationPerformance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
Physical, Mental and Visual DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. Additionally, the employee may occasionally be required to push or lift up to 50 lbs as necessary for the safety and well-being of others. Lastly, this job requires the employee to have the vision ability to read handwritten or typed materials, and meet multiple demands from several people while interacting with other staff and the public.
