The Role
As a Machine Operator on our Pack Line Sewing team, you'll play a vital part in creating the high‑quality products that define Children’s Factory. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in precision, enjoys hands‑on work, and thrives in a fast‑paced production environment. Whether you’re experienced with industrial sewing machines or eager to learn, this position offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a team that produces products used by children every day.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Operate industrial sewing machines to complete sewing tasks such as binding and closing stuffed products.
- Change needles, thread, and materials efficiently so production runs smoothly.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on sewing machines to keep equipment in top condition.
- Assist with operating additional machinery and equipment while following all safety procedures.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure every product meets required specifications.
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe.
- Collaborate closely with your team to meet daily production goals and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Support a positive and productive work environment where teamwork and communication matter.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production setting (preferred but not required).
- Experience with industrial sewing machines (highly desirable).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, such as patterns and sew notes.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculations.
- A positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- The ability to maintain consistent attendance and arrive prepared for each shift.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a manufacturing environment (a plus).
