Join Our Team as an RN in the PACU at Mercy!
Are you ready to make a difference in patient care? At Mercy Hospital Washington, we’re looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) . This full-time position offers you the chance to provide exceptional care during the peri-operative period while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs an RN in the PACU, you will:
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver top-notch patient care.
- Maintain professional accountability for the care of assigned patients.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other team members.
- Coordinate patient care with various departments.
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
- Perform duties in alignment with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Location: Mercy Hospital Washington
Department: RN PACU
Status: Full Time (36 hrs/week)
Shift: Days (6am-6pm)
Note: Recent PACU or ICU experience within the last 2 years is required.

The Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and PACU at Mercy provide services across multiple surgical specialties in both hospital and outpatient settings. Our high-energy unit is characterized by teamwork and dedication, offering a diverse range of patient care experiences.

Qualifications- Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
- Licensure: Must maintain a current RN license within the hiring state and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Experience: Recent PACU or ICU experience within the last 2 years is essential.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, pull 50 pounds regularly, and perform prolonged standing and walking.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
- Other unit-specific certifications as required.
