Delivery Specialist

The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers safely and efficiently. The position also collects money on C.O.D. deliveries and picks up customer returns.

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily inspections prior to operating.
• Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and collected monies secure at all times.
• Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete driver return slip.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of business day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, etc.
• May occasionally assist customers, serve as cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.

• Match alphanumeric sequences quickly.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Maintain a driving record that meets the company’s 14/18-point system.
• Possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
