** Department of Criminal Justice Studies (CJS) seeks to establish a pool of qualified adjunct instructors to teach in our student-centered, thesis-based, undergraduate program (traditional, online and hybrid course delivery methods).  Our undergraduate program offers students the opportunity to select a concentration from three career areas in the criminal justice system: (1) 21st Century Policing, (2) Corrections and Reentry, and (3) Victim Services.

We anticipate needing instructors in the required core, required concentration, and elective courses.

Applicants shall review the  .  In their letter of application, they should identify the course(s) that they are best prepared to offer based on education, experience and training. After approved teaching assignments for all full-time faculty members, and the pool of qualified adjunct instructors has been vetted, adjunct taught courses will be assigned based on departmental and programmatic needs.
** This adjunct position will remain open for 1 year to allow departments’ access to candidate pools when there is a need to hire an adjunct to teach a course(s) during defined academic semester(s).
**** Compensation is per  credit,  the current credit rate is a minimum of $1819 per credit.*

*** Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field with extensive experience in the field
* Documentation of ability to deliver courses via hybrid, online and traditional delivery methods
* Provide evidence of their proficiency and effectiveness in teaching Undergraduate Criminal Justice courses
* Evidence of the ability to teach and work with persons from diverse backgrounds
** Preferred Qualification

* Demonstrate success in teaching in-service criminal justice professionals
