Job Description

Atlantic Imaging Services is seeking a per diem Mammography Technologist.

Principal Accountabilities

Performs mammographic, Dexa and planar X‑ray procedures on patients according to state, federal, professional and departmental standards and guidelines.

Reviews each requisition/questionnaire and record prior to the exam to ensure all pertinent information is available.

Performs examinations with a high standard of accuracy in positioning and selects appropriate technical factors to ensure quality images.

Assembles and reviews patient data, history, and ensures proper two patient identifiers.

Verifies physician orders and ensures information for radiologist’s interpretation is available.

Performs all computer functions properly to ensure accurate patient charging and image interpretation.

Performs patient charging and completes exam end procedures in EPIC/Centricity PACS.

Properly utilizes the Pen Rad system.

Accurately and effectively performs QA, maintains required annual licensure/CME, and assists in all aspects of tracking as per MQSA guidelines.

Accesses, interprets, communicates and delivers age‑appropriate care.

Maintains open communication with site leadership.

Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers.

Demonstrates ability to multi‑task and prioritize.

Seeks proactive solutions to address questions and concerns.

Performs any other task as appointed by management.

Required

Associate’s degree in an accredited RT Program or related field.
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a staff technologist in Mammography or a relevant area.
New Jersey State RT license.
ARRT Mammography Certification.
Current BLS certification.

Preferred

Minimum of 200 mammography exams performed within the past 24 months.
