Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Per Diem
Overview

Ujala Life helps children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) between the ages of 1.5 - 6 years old. We provide Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) with an emphasis on natural environment teaching paired with play-based approaches similar to ESDM.

We are an owner-owned ABA business that plans to stay this way. At Ujala Life, we are committed to strong ethics, and putting our clients and clinicians first. Our goal is to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) confidently harness their true potential through early intervention. We are seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our care team. The role would be a part-time contractor at our Union NJ clinic with flexible scheduling.

We anticipate the time commitment to be 1-2 days per week  ability to work with children aged 2-6 from diverse backgrounds is essential.

Responsibilities
  • In-clinic
  • Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders.
  • Communicating with the patient, and liaising with their family members, physicians, and BCBAs to design effective treatment plans.
  • Using evidence-based therapies to provide direct care
  • Session notes, report writing and other administrative work
  • Evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required.
Qualifications
  • Master s degree in speech therapy or speech-language pathology.
  • Relevant license and certification.
  • Experience with ASD children under the age of 6.
  • Sound understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments.
  • Familiarity with EHR software.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children with special needs and/or developmental delays.
