Position: Medical Office Associate I, Full Time, Days - AMG Primary Care - Union

Medical Office Associate I, Full Time, Days - AMG Primary Care - Union

Responsible for providing day‑to‑day support operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high‑quality customer service to patients. The Medical Office Associate manages both the front and back of the office, including billing support, scheduling, coding, patient communication, and filing.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Interview patients for case histories prior to appointments.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments.
  • Accurately update and maintain patients' health records.
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist the billing department with processing claims.
  • Communicate test results to patients when directed by physicians or nursing professionals.
  • Ensure contacting patients regarding appointments and answering billing questions.
  • Assist patients with re‑scheduling appointments and other scheduling issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Work with highest confidentiality and abide HIPAA compliance.
Schedule
  • Full time, Days
  • Monday – Friday
  • Saturday on rotation (every 4th Saturday)
  • 9am – 5pm
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Medical Office Management, Business, or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer and employee focused, with demonstrated ability to multi‑task.
Relevant Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a medical office environment or related area.
  • 3+ years administrative experience.
  • 3+ years experience in data coordination.
