* Job Summary:

** The Farm Nutrient Equipment Operator & Spreader manages the litter in the manure barns including placement, turning, and drying, blending, and taking samples to monitor quality and process effectiveness. Operates loaders, spreaders, and other equipment to unload, manage inventory, blend fertilizer, load trucks and spread manure when fields are available to spread. Ensures product quality, equipment maintenance and overall equipment efficiency

* Duties and Responsibilities:

** Transports supplies and equipment from location to location

* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

** Ability to work significant overtime from September through February Ability to communicate with farmers and have base knowledge of farming Mechanical and heavy equipment knowledge  Ability to drive tractors, front-end loader, pay-loader, skid loader, scat machine and fertilizer spreaders

Ability to operate power tools and equipment safely

Awareness and knowledge of surroundings in relation to climate, atmosphere, and equipment Independent Self Starter/Team Player Ability to read, understand and effectively communicate information through writing and speaking so others will understand Mathematical skills:
General Arithmetic/Basic Algebra/Percentages/Fractions Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license, CDL or other DOT qualifications for operation of a commercial motor vehicle
