Compensation & Benefits Information- Eligibility to enroll in the HEALTHCARE OF ONTARIO PENSION PLAN (HOOPP). Information:
- Percent in lieu and vacation percent pay up to 20%
The Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the infection prevention and control program across the organization in compliance with Ontario's Ministry of Health, Public Health Ontario, IPAC Canada, and other applicable regulatory bodies. The Coordinator serves as a key leader and resource to staff, physicians, and leadership in preventing and managing infections to ensure the highest standards of patient and employee safety.

Certifications and Registrations
- Must be a Registered Practical Nurse, at minimum
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an RPN in a hospital setting
- Infection Control certification (or commitment to obtain)
- Willing to obtain ongoing education to develop required expertise in infection prevention and control
- Good communication skills in English
General Skills
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge and understanding of the OHSA and workers’ compensation legislation
- Ability to work effectively alone and prioritize
- Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives
- Flexibility and ability to function effectively under changing demands
- Excellent attendance record and punctuality
- Demonstrated ongoing professional growth and development
- Excellent analytical skills
- Teaching experience
- Ability to provide/meet French communications skill requirement would be considered an asset
