Assistant Property Manager – Summit Court
Join the Inland Real Estate Group to manage the full‑time Assistant Property Manager role at Summit Court Apartments, Union, NJ.
Core Responsibilities- Demonstrate highest standards of integrity and comply with policies, laws, and regulations.
- Provide a positive living experience and address resident concerns with a customer‑service approach.
- Communicate with tenants regarding property events and perform periodic inspections and courtesy calls.
- Utilize marketing strategies to secure prospective residents, welcome tours, and handle incoming calls with appropriate paperwork.
- Partner with the leasing team to achieve property goals, monitor traffic, conversion ratios, renewal information, and marketing data.
- Understand financial goals and operate assets in owners’ best interests.
- Maintain accurate records of all community transactions (rent rolls, delinquency reports move‑ins/move‑outs, etc.).
- Collect, post, and deposit rents, late fees, and check charges in a timely manner.
- Maintain community appearance, note and complete repairs, walk on market‑ready apartments, and communicate service needs to maintenance.
- Update make‑ready boards indicating vacant status daily.
- Assist the Property Manager with training and motivating all on‑site staff to achieve operational goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Two to three years of experience in Property Management or other relevant work experience.
- Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and initiate appropriate action.
- Interact efficiently with prospects, residents, peers, and management.
- Achieve Fair Housing certification prior to interacting with prospects or residents.
- Competent computer skills: keyboard, internet search, math;
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and community software applications. - Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.
- Work evenings and weekends.
- Present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner at all times during the workday and whenever present at the community.
$58,000 – $65,000.
