Hours
:
Regular full time, 40 hour workweek, Thursday through Sunday

Salary
: PW2; $27.5389 per hour

Duties
:
The Town of Hingham is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Transfer Station division of the Department of Public Works. This position is responsible for performing semi-skilled manual work in operating heavy equipment used in the construction, maintenance and repair of public works projects or facilities. Work includes the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment and vehicles with a rated capacity of more than 26,000 lbs.

Requirements
:

• A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience or advanced training in the operation of light equipment
• A valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement and 1C - 2A Hoisting License
• Skill in operating vehicles and equipment
• Ability to lift 40 plus lbs.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to follow oral instructions related to work assignments
