Who We Are

Service Professionals is a family-owned home services company serving most of New Jersey since day one. We do plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical — and we're not a franchise. We're your neighbors. And we're building something we're proud of.

👍 Join us on this remarkable road, where every day our success story is written with thumbs pointed up.

Pay and Benefits

We take care of our people — because that's how they take care of our customers.

  • Base pay: $27 to $50 an hour, depending on experience and licenses, or 18% to 20% of the revenue you produce that week, whichever is higher. Overtime is paid at time and a half over 40 hours.

  • Uncapped performance bonus: Plus 2% to 3% of your monthly revenue when you hit your targets without excessive callbacks. There is no cap. High performers can earn $100,000 to $200,000 in total compensation. Earnings vary with experience and production.

  • Health: Employee-only medical is $10 a paycheck. Our HRA covers your deductible, up to $4,000 ($8,000 with spouse, dependents or family); after that, coinsurance applies. Employee-only dental is $0. Coverage starts after a 90-day probation. Dependent coverage is available at your cost.

  • Retirement: 401(k) for full-time staff through Basic Capital.

  • Time off: Paid time off from day 91: one week of vacation after year one, two after year two, three after year five. Paid holidays.

  • Also available: Pre-tax FSA and dependent-care accounts; supplemental vision, life and disability coverage.

  • Your Own Truck: Take-home truck, dispatched from home, no commute. Gas card and tolls included. The truck comes once you're field-ready, fully stocked. Our warehouse does the stocking.

  • On-call: On-call is paid and rotates throughout the department. Everyone in the department takes a turn before you take another.

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, about 3 calls a day. Honest options, no upsell pressure. We can't guarantee hours, but our marketing keeps the calendar full.

  • Real Career Growth: We've promoted from within since the beginning. If you want to grow, we're the spot.

What We're Looking For

You're the kind of tech we'd send to our own mother's house without thinking twice.

  • You take pride in doing the job right, especially when nobody's checking.

  • You're comfortable with technology — Service Titan, iPads, digital invoicing. It's part of the job.

  • You know how to talk to homeowners. You can sit at a kitchen table, explain the options, and help someone make the right call for their home and budget.

  • You hold yourself to a standard. You track your numbers because you care about being good at this.

Skills and Experience
  • Strong residential HVAC knowledge — you've been running service calls and diagnosing real problems in real homes.

  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and local codes.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Fluent in English.

What You'll Do

You'll run residential HVAC service and repair calls — including the tough ones. You'll diagnose issues, present honest options, and build relationships with customers who call back and ask for you by name.

Day to day, that means:

  • Diagnosing and resolving HVAC issues across a range of equipment — furnaces, heat pumps, mini-splits, central A/C, boilers.

  • Spotting potential problems early to prevent callbacks and breakdowns.

  • Walking homeowners through their options — repair vs. replace, financing, service agreements — so they can make an informed decision.

  • Owning your numbers. You'll know your metrics and hold yourself accountable for hitting revenue and service goals.
