The University of South Carolina Union invites applications for a 9-month, full-time Instructor of Computer Science. Teaching requirements include face‑to‑face and distance education, potentially including evening and/or weekend classes, along with teaching dual‑enrollment classes at the USC Union campus, at the USC Union Laurens location, and on‑site at various affiliated high schools. This role will entail instructing five courses per semester (5‑5 course load).
A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, as well as participation in university and community service, is expected. The selected candidate will have the responsibility of teaching introductory computer science courses and any upper‑level courses as needed.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 18 graduate hours in Computer Science from an accredited university by the beginning date of employment, including credentials necessary for departmental approval to teach introductory and upper‑level courses as needed.
