Responsibilities- Collaborate with Corporate Controller, Chief Accountant, and others to spearhead and execute financial objectives and goals
- Assistant Controller will provide exceptional, people-focused leadership of the Project Accounting and Financial Accounting teams
- Lead team in executing all efforts related to accounting (including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash apps, etc.), financial reporting, analysis, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting including the development and production of internal reports to assist management and executive teams
- Govern cash management operations
- As an Assistant Controller, you will develop, implement, and enhance financial controls, guidelines, and documentation
- Assist the Corporate Risk Manager in administering insurance programs
- Recruit and mentor staff, leveraging leadership expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minimum of 12 years of experience in the construction/real estate development industry
- CPA preferred
- Experience with insurance (such as CCIP/OCIP) project administration and analysis
- Solid understanding of operational and financial aspects of a construction management
- Strong proficiency in Sage, Timberline is required;
Experience with Pro Core and eBuilder is preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
- Note:
This job will be based in Long Island 2 days per week and NYC 2 days per week with WFH option on Fridays
