Registered Nurse - Stepdown Unit Location

West Virginia

This is a 13-week contract position.

12-hour day shifts, with weekends as scheduled.

The Stepdown Unit is looking for dedicated Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care to patients with heavy cardiac issues, including dysrhythmias and CVAs, as well as other conditions downgraded from the ICU. Nurses will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for interpreting cardiac strips and titrating drips.

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Stepdown Unit, monitoring vital signs and ongoing health assessments.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist in the management of patient care plans, coordinating with other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions and care plans.
• Utilize Cerner and EPIC for electronic charting and documentation.

• Active RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Experience in a stepdown or ICU unit preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips.
• Must be able to titrate drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin.
