Retail Store Management Trainee to join our team.
Pay$15.00 to $26.48 per hour
Position OverviewThis role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management position. It requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.41 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of store management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive environment. You will partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. This role sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
Responsibilities include analyzing store financial statements with the Store Manager, committing to asset protection, promoting the business, and targeting new customer acquisitions. You will work with a variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Compensation includes hourly pay plus commission based on productivity and bonuses based on store performance; exact pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control and security of loans.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate clearly with employees about store mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Assist as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, bending, climbing, etc.) in accordance with laws.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literate with POS systems and common office machines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical skills; cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Store Manager Trainees have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit. More details will be provided during the interview process.
