Software Developer – MANTECH
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Developer to join our Digital Practice located at JBSA San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of enterprise‑level RESTful web services and Java‑based microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Design, deploy, and manage robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Collaborate with frontend, backend, and Dev Ops teams to ensure seamless integration across distributed systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to Dev Ops automation, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
- Set technical direction, mentor development teams, and ensure the performance, scalability, and security of cloud‑based solutions.
- Build prototypes to demonstrate initial capability to Federal customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining Java applications and RESTful services.
- Proficiency with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Cloud Watch, and Cloud Formation/Terraform.
- Strong proficiency in cloud‑native development frameworks, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cloud security practices, including identity management, encryption, and secure coding.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Dev Ops methodologies.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional, or AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer – Professional.
- Experience with multi‑cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Knowledge of database administration (SQL and No
SQL).
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance suitability.
- Use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Occasionally move around inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
