Software Developer – MANTECH

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Developer to join our Digital Practice located at JBSA San Antonio, TX.

• Lead the design and development of enterprise‑level RESTful web services and Java‑based microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
• Design, deploy, and manage robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, and Dev Ops teams to ensure seamless integration across distributed systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Contribute to Dev Ops automation, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization.
• Set technical direction, mentor development teams, and ensure the performance, scalability, and security of cloud‑based solutions.
• Build prototypes to demonstrate initial capability to Federal customers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining Java applications and RESTful services.
• Proficiency with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Cloud Watch, and Cloud Formation/Terraform.
• Strong proficiency in cloud‑native development frameworks, microservices architecture, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud security practices, including identity management, encryption, and secure coding.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Dev Ops methodologies.

• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional, or AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer – Professional.
• Experience with multi‑cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Knowledge of database administration (SQL and No

• US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance suitability.

• Use hands to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Occasionally move around inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
