The Role
As the ADON
, you will support the Director of Nursing in ensuring high-quality resident care, strong clinical outcomes, and smooth day-to-day nursing operations. You will help lead our nursing team, uphold compliance with federal and state standards, and provide compassionate leadership that reflects our Spirit of Excellence.
- Support 24/7 oversight of nursing services alongside the Director of Nursing
- Ensure resident care plans meet physician orders, regulatory standards, and facility policies
- Communicate policies, train staff, and monitor clinical practices
- Participate in admissions decisions and assess prospective residents when needed
- Attend daily and weekly leadership meetings to discuss resident status and staffing
- Ensure high-quality, compassionate care—monitoring cleanliness, wound prevention, and resident well-being
- Monitor key clinical quality indicators and implement systems to exceed targets
- Collaborate with physicians, consultants, therapy, and community partners
- Oversee competency testing for licensed and unlicensed staff
- Lead and maintain the facility’s infection control program
- Serve as acting Director of Nursing when needed
- Active RN license in the state of Missouri
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
- 5+ years long-term care or acute care experience preferred
- 2+ years nursing supervisory experience required
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical assessment skills
