Job OverviewSmart House Heating Cooling is hiring a licensed HVAC Service and/or Install Technician to join our trusted team in the St. Louis area. We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced technician who takes pride in installing, diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC systems with precision and integrity. This is a full-time, field‑based role designed for professionals who value doing what’s right—for the client, the team, and their craft.

ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair a wide range of residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and indoor air quality systems.
Installation of residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, minisplits. Boiler and Geothermal experience a plus but not required.
Perform service calls, preventative maintenance, and system tune‑ups.
Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients about findings and recommendations.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed and ensure system documentation is up to date.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure quality and efficiency on every call.
Participate in on‑call rotations and work occasional overtime as needed.
Maintain a professional appearance and represent Smart House with integrity on every jobsite.
QualificationsMinimum 5 years of in‑field residential HVAC service and installation experience with a licensed HVAC contractor.
St. Louis County HVAC or Sheet metal Journeyman license required.
Associate’s degree in HVAC technology or equivalent field experience preferred.
Strong diagnostic and technical skills; you keep up with industry updates and best practices.
Professional demeanor with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Honest, diligent, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
Team player who contributes to a respectful and cooperative work environment.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
