Position Requirements
The Steady Aero Thermal Research Turbine (START) Lab within the Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a part-time Research Engineer. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty and staff on a variety of federally funded and industry-sponsored projects supporting a state-of-the-art turbine test laboratory focused on sustainable propulsion and power generation technologies.
Job duties include:
- Supporting research activities related to the design, testing, and analysis of turbine systems and associated technologies.
Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
- Candidates should possess strong communication and technical skills and typically hold a master's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related field. Due to the nature of the research conducted in the laboratory, U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
