Position Summary

This is a part-time position assigned to the Student Health Center. Under general supervision, provides direct patient care activities to the highest degree of licensure. Partners with clinical staff and providers to maintain established standards and ensure delivery of high-quality patient care; as well as Health Informatics, Medical Records, and others to ensure patient documentation is complete, accurate, and follows all privacy/security and other regulatory requirements.

Reviews physicians' orders for accuracy and authorization prior to implementing them. Prescribes and initiates nursing treatment through direct or assisted care.

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information and follow FERPA/HIPAA regulations at all times
• Punctual and reliable. Skills include RX refills, assisting in minor procedures, in-person and telephone triage, IVs, and injections

Hourly Pay Range: $29.52 – $35.00

• Associate s degree in Nursing required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• Must have a current CPR certification or obtain one within 30 days of hire date and have used an electronic health record system in a previous learning or employed role.

• 2-3 years of experience preferred.
