Overview
CLINICAL DATA ANALYST - (T221573) University of Alabama at Birmingham
Position Summary
The UAB Division of Cardiovascular Disease seeks a Clinical Data Analyst for the Arora Translational Lab. This Data Analyst will provide support on the implementation, analysis and reporting of quantitative data on the clinical research being carried out by the Arora Translational Lab.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for data management and analysis for the Arora Lab.
- Completes extensive programming for data manipulation and generates various statistical analyses
- Builds surveys and manages reporting on clinical research data
- Oversees and manages the security and integrity of data
- Technical assistance and coaching; ability to translate data to internal and external partners in a helpful context for program improvement
- Manages portfolio of ongoing projects
- Under general supervision, designs and implements data management systems for clinical information.
- Develops methods for tracking and reporting data.
- Collects, enters and statistically analyzes data and prepares a variety of special and recurring reports for publication or presentation.
- Assigns interviewers for data collection, monitors completion of data, handles quality assurance and performs data cleaning.
- May assist in preparation of figures and tables for scientific manuscripts.
- Acts in a caring and courteous manner towards all patients, guests, visitors, students and staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Characteristics
- Degrees in Computer Science, Cyber Security, It, Computer Programming, Information Systems and related
- Data / cyber security experience
Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Public Health, Statistics or a related field required.
- Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
