Lead Architect - Sustainable Design

• Lead the design process for significant architectural projects, ensuring conceptual integrity and adherence to project objectives.
• Develop and present design proposals to clients, stakeholders, and planning authorities.
• Manage and mentor a team of architects and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Oversee project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and contract administration.
• Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Conduct site visits and feasibility studies to inform design development.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, contractors, and other consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in architecture and sustainable design.
• Contribute to the firm's business development efforts and client relationship management.

• A professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Registration as a Professional Architect with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) is mandatory.
• A minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in architectural design and project management, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in sustainable design principles and green building technologies.
• Proficiency in industry-standard architectural software, including Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketch Up.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams and client expectations effectively.
• Experience working in diverse geographical and climatic conditions, with an understanding of regional architectural challenges.
• A portfolio showcasing a range of successful and innovative architectural projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
