Civil Engineer - Infrastructure and Project Management

About the Role

Our client is seeking a competent Civil Engineer with strong project management skills to join their team in Upington, Northern Cape . This role focuses on the delivery of diverse infrastructure projects, including roads, water supply, and sanitation services, crucial for regional development. You will be involved from the planning and design stages through to construction supervision and project close-out, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and to high-quality standards.

• Manage the full project lifecycle for civil infrastructure projects, including planning, design, procurement, and construction.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress against these parameters.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee site supervision teams and manage contractor performance.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare technical reports and project proposals.
• Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment.

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech) is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in managing infrastructure projects such as roads, water, and sanitation.
• Proficiency in project management software and standard civil engineering design tools.
